Dental implants are the most effective solution for missing teeth. Implants restore your smile and your confidence. They also improve your oral health overall and eliminate discomfort. Nashville Dental Implant Center offers a permanent, discrete solution for a missing tooth.
If a missing tooth is left untreated, serious complications can arise. These complications can lead to even more serious dental work in the future.
Untreated missing teeth can cause:
- Changes in your bite
- Decay in nearby teeth
- Difficulty chewing
- Movement of nearby teeth
- Speech problems
- Bone loss
- Altered facial features
- Low self-esteem
The implants we offer at Nashville Dental Implant Center are biocompatible, meaning they fit naturally with your jaw. This ensures that the implants bond with your jawbone to provide a stable, sturdy foundation. A dental implant is an artificial tooth root that stabilizes and holds a replacement tooth or dental bridge. Nashville Dental Implant Center specializes in providing the highest quality dental implants and installation services. The dental implants we offer at Nashville Dental Implant Center are the longest-lasting, most comfortable, and natural-looking dental implants available. Our implants offer the following benefits:
- Bone biocompatibility
- Firmness and stability
- Ceramic Dental Implants

Before your surgery, our dental professionals will administer sedation, general, or local anesthesia to keep you calm and comfortable.
Caring for Dental Implants
Implants can’t withstand the force of a normal bite until the bone has attached firmly to the surface of the implant. It takes between 3 and 6 months for an implant to become properly integrated into the jaw. During this time you’ll definitely want to avoid crunching lollipops and chewing gum. You’ll also want to be careful when flossing; your dentist will explain how to gently slide floss between your teeth. You may experience some sensitivity for the first few days after the procedure.
You still need to floss! Although our ceramic implants cannot get cavities, your gums are still susceptible. Flossing is extremely important after getting implants. Here’s how to floss after getting implants:
- Take two feet of dental floss and wrap it around your middle fingers. Leave about three inches of space between your fingers.
- Gently slide the dental floss up and down between the teeth, rubbing along the side of the implant.
- Move the floss around the base of the tooth.
- Gently work the floss up and out from between the teeth.
- Move to a clean part of the floss and repeat.
If you’re curious about how to floss with implants, our Nashville specialists will be happy to demonstrate!
After the implant becomes integrated with the jaw, caring for your dental implants requires many of the same techniques as regular oral hygiene. We recommend:
- Brushing and flossing twice a day (ideally after every meal)
- Special toothpaste and rinses
- Using a Waterpik or other flossing device
- Eating a healthy diet
- Avoiding sugary foods and drinks
