Teeth Today – Immediate Tooth Placement

One Day Teeth Replacement

Teeth Today is an advanced technique of the surgical placement of implants and an immediate placement of the restorative tooth (crown). In other words, you get your teeth the very same day!

The process starts with radiographs and possibly a CT scan and software that allows the fabrication of an advanced surgical guide to precisely place the implants and a laboratory technique that allows the fabrication of a restoration prior to the surgical placement of the implants.

This highly advanced technique requires a skilled, experienced, and knowledgeable surgeon, such as Dr. Locante, to perform these procedures. This advanced type of treatment allows the patient to leave the same day with fixed stable teeth.

Dr. Locante has been at the forefront of Teeth Today since its inception. Having been an implant surgeon for over twenty years, he immediately recognized the patients’ desire to eliminate the waiting period of traditional dental implant procedures.

Currently, Dr. Locante is a frequent lecturer, researcher, and teacher in the field of implant dentistry, both nationally and internationally. Dr. Locante has developed surgical techniques that are currently in use today all over the world.

“All-on-Four” Concept in Just One Visit

Instead of replacing just one tooth, some patients need a full set of uppers and/or lowers. And the All-on-Four process can be placed in just one office visit.

The All-on-Four concept refers to inserting four implants – as opposed to 6 or 8 – to seat an entire set of uppers or lowers. Once in place, the new teeth are inserted and the patient is free to leave and resume normal activities. The All-on-Four concept is truly a breakthrough in implant science.

By using this new protocol, the implants are actually more stable than in earlier years. The upper and/or lower implants are inserted at strategic positions, which offers a more cross-stabilizing effect for a secure and stable set of teeth. Not everyone is a candidate for this All-on-Four procedure, so schedule an evaluation with Dr. Locante to determine if this technique is right for you.

“My lower teeth were in terrible shape. Due to business concerns, I did not have the time to wait three to six months for the normal implant procedure. After an initial consultation with Dr. Locante, I decided on the All-on-Four implants. And I left the office that day with a full set of completely functioning teeth. I am still amazed.” Ruth L, Natinal TN

Teeth Today is a Pain-Free Procedure

Sedation dentistry is now the most common technique used in the United States and Canada to alleviate any fears of sitting in the dentist’s chair. It’s easy, effective and pain free. Dr. Locante and his staff are trained in all types of sedation and they will discuss the best options at the initial visit. 99.9% of patients report no pain at all during the procedure, while the patient experiences a “comfortable consciousness” throughout. Ibuprofen (Advil) is the most common post-operation pain medication, but most patients report that no pain reliever is needed at all.

Partnership With the General Dentist

Dr. Locante has established a program to develop an ongoing relationship with the patient’s general dentist during the implant process. Most patients enjoy the working association between their regular dentist and the attending surgeon. However, if the patient does not currently have a general dentist, any and all implant procedures can be completed by Dr. Locante. The entire process can be fully accomplished in his office, if needed.

Who is a Good Candidate for Teeth Today?

Just about anyone with missing teeth is a candidate for dental implants. The primary concern is one of physical health. Generally, uncontrolled diabetics and cancer patients who have recently received radiation therapy (at the site of the implant area) are not good candidates. Any other medical condition is usually not a contraindication for dental implant treatment.

Dental Implants in Brief

Dental implants are the single most important advancement for patients seeking new and stable teeth. They are designed to provide a foundation for replacement teeth which look, feel and function like natural teeth. They’re strong and secure. For people with missing teeth, dental implants are the very best option to both regain a natural smile and eat virtually anything.

The implants themselves are small titanium posts, which are gently placed into the jawbone where teeth are missing. These “anchors” act as tooth root substitutes. They are surgically placed into the jawbone. The bone bonds with the titanium, creating a strong foundation for artificial teeth.

Attachments are then joined to the implant. These attachments provide stable fixtures for artificial replacement teeth (crowns). Implants also help preserve facial structure, preventing bone deterioration that can occur when teeth are missing.
